Ilana aka MizHollywood lives and works in Los Angeles, but her beginnings were far less fast paced. Born in Modesto, California, MizHollywood was raised in a very tight knit family environment and community. At times it was hard to get away with anything in the small town, but she wouldn’t trade her upbringing for anything and credits her family for her success, “I wouldn’t be able to do anything without them. They’re crazy, but I love them all the same.”

Ilana was fascinated with the entertainment industry from a young age and envisioned becoming an entertainment reporter, meeting her idols Oprah, Madonna, and Rosie and one day wining an Emmy. Growing up Ilana was a part of Youth Entertainment Stage Company (Y.E.S. Company) and Modesto Performing Arts, where she experienced the theatre industries. She later moved to LA and attended California State University Northridge, where she earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Upon graduating, she was hired as the Production Assistant for KTLA but was recruited shortly thereafter by an independent station where she was given her own talk show and later jumped into a one-­year program at KNBC. Ilana was later featured on KTLA, KNBC News Raw, Associated Content, CNN report, and numerous blogs.

“I always wanted to mix entertainment with giving back and I knew it was time to combine my passion with my principals,” says Ilana. Her dream to make a difference in the entertainment industry became clear, and Mizhollywood.com was born. Mizhollywood.com is an up close and personal approach to celebrity life. MizHollywood hopes to satisfy her audience’s taste for Tinsel Town while exposing the less publicized, fun loving side of celebrities.
