By Special Correspondent Karla Gregg

Drums rolls please?—– And the winner of the Second Season’s The Voice is….Jermaine Paul! And which singing sensation couldn’t be more proud? Alicia Keys.

Jermaine Paul is now a lead singer—defiantly a huge step since his days as backup singer for Alicia Keys. The 32-year-old R&B performer told Us Weekly
that Alicia Keys was among the first to congratulate him on scoring a record deal with Universal.

“She called me onstage. She was screaming at the top of her lungs. She made me feel like a million bucks,” Paul told Us Weekly

.

Paul sure made his victory win over the other contests and mentioned how grateful he was to his Voice coach, Blake Shelton.

“[Blake] reminds me a lot of myself, believe it or not. The fact that he kept me around, that’s all I really asked of him to do. He said ‘the rest is up to you’ and I feel like I’ve done my job for him. He’s definitely done his job for me.”

Congratulations to The Voice Winner, Jermaine Paul!
