The Edge of 17. Coming of Age Romance. DVD. Blue-Ray. IMDB pro-rating 7.6 with 95% customer satisfaction on Rotten Tomatoes. Kelly Freeman Craig directs Hailee Steinfeld in the touching story of a young teenage girl who feels abandoned after her best friend starts dating her older brother. A young boy in her clsss, who is equally as awkward, befriends her and gives her moral support. Woody Harrelson, Blake Jenner, Haley Lu Richardson.

Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk. True story by Ben Fountain. IMDB pro-rating 6.5 with 46% approval on Rotten Tomatoes. A young 19 year old soldier returns home from a tour of Iraq with his squad. They are given a hero’s celebration at the Thanksgiving Day Football extravaganza, where flashbacks reveal the truth that is much different than the story being presented. Ang Lee directs this semi-successful film using uber technology to give a real-life experience. Many find it very satisfying, others, not so much.

Directed by Antonio Campos. A serious young journalist in the 1970’s fights to be taken seriously. Rebecca Hall stars with Michael C. Hall.

Known as the ‘Pazmanian Devil ‘in boxing, Vinny Pazmania (played by Miles Teller), wins the middleweight champion of the world, then suffers a severed spine in a car accident. Told he will never walk again, he returns to the ring one year later to reclaim him title and prove the power of the human will. Aaron Eckhart and Katey Sagal star.
