Bee Gee Robin Gibb Dies.

Robin Gibb, on of the last band members of the iconic group, the Bee Gees, died Sunday. He was 62.

“The family of Robin Gibb, of the Bee Gees, announce with great sadness that Robin passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery,” his rep said in a statement.
“The family have asked that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time.”

The Bee Gees consisted of Robin Gibb’s twin brother, Maurice and brother Barry. The trio recorded decades of lovely songs such as ‘How Deep is Your Love’and ‘Night Fever.’

Is Rep, mentioned that in October 2011, Gibb fell ill with intestinal problems and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford for tests and treatment for inflammation of the colo, from his home in England.

The family had a history of gastrointestinal problems, which made his wife Dwina, worried about his health. Dwina and Robin had a son together, Robin-John. Maurice, Robin’s twin brother died of intestinal complications in 2003.

In mid-April 2012, he was in a coma due to pneumonia, but was able to regain consciousness more than a week later.

The Bee-Gee with the variety-pitched voice, although in bad health, was involved in music during the summer of 2011 where he worked on a classical concept album, The Requiem For Titanic. He composed the album with the help of his son, Robin-John. The London premiere, occured April 10, 2012, however, Robin Gibb was not able to attend since he was ill.

For decades, the Bee Gee’s brought amazing music that was even enjoyed by today’s generation. Rest in peace Robbin Gibb.
