Broadway’s Bernadette Peters and Christine Baranski have been cast in the new TV series spin off from CBS’ The Good Wife.
The new series will pick up a year after The Good Wife left off. Peters will play Lenore, mother to young lawyer, Maia (Rose Leslie), whose reputation is ruined by a financial scam. Baranski will take on the role of Maia’s mentor Diane Lockhart.
Robert and Michelle King will executive-produce the series with Ridley Scott, David Zucker, Liz Glotzer, Brooke Kennedy, and Alison Cross for CBS Television Studios in association with Scott Free Productions and King Size Productions.
The show is set for February 2017 for their streaming site.
