‘Blade Runner 2049’ and ‘The Mountain Between Us’ Open Oct. 6

The long awaited sequel to the 1982 Sci-Fi  ‘Blade Runner’ stars Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford.

Dick, but the title Blade Runner was a random choice of Ridley Scott’s, inspired by, and used with permission, of William S. Burroughs book, Blade Runner, The Movie. Titles Count! This time Los Angeles Police detective, played by Ryan Gosling, uncovers a dangerous mystery that raises questions only the long missing original Blade Runner, Harrison Ford, can answer. Also stars Robin Wright. Directed by Denis Villeneuve (Dune), from a script by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green.

The Mountain Between Us. Adaptation from the story by Charles Martin. IMDB pro-rating 6.2 with a 52% approval from Rotten Tomatoes. Directed by Hany Abu-Assad from a screenplay by Chris Weitz and J. Mills Goodloe. After a plane crash in the snow covered mountains, with no hope of rescue,  survivors (Idris Elba and Kate Winslet) must hike hundreds of miles to safety. In doing so, they  discover their inner strength. Dermott Mulroney also stars.
