Shakespeare said, “It takes a wise man to play the part of a fool”.
Maybe that’s why, after 12 years of hard work, Bradley Cooper’s breakout film was, THE HANGOVER, and he did an interview promoting the film entirely in French!
Was Bradley drawn to star in SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK because it’s filmed in Philadelphia, the town where he was born?
Or, was it that his character, Pat Solitano, was striving to become a positive person, reminding him of JACK NICHOLSON -one of his mentors, advice – “Try to incline yourself upwards as much as possible, because it’s too easy in this world to incline yourself downwards”?
Whatever it was, his Oscar nomination for Best Male Actor is sure to give Bradley street cred with the kids from LEAP, where he volunteers teaching inner city school students the craft of acting. Never mind that he’s a graduate from the Actors Studio in New York.
We know Bradley’s rooting for BEN AFFLECK to win BEST ACTOR on February 26, 2013 – and that’s okay, because Ben wasn’t nominated, Bradley was! And that’s the first step to walking away with the GOLDEN MAN!
