More news has serviced today (care of Deadline.com) for the soon to start production prequel of Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, regarding a character you’ll remember from the former series.
Mike Ermantraut, brought to life so incredibly well by veteran actor Jonathan Banks will be a series regular. This is fantastic news as I can’t be the only fan of Breaking Bad that loved his character. He brought an uncanny wit, along with a not to be messed with attitude that earned him an Emmy nomination for his work in season five of Breaking Bad.
Since it has now been determined this show will be set before the events of Breaking Bad, this can only mean there’s more than a possibility we’ll get to see the return of drug lord Gus Fring, played by Giancarlo Esposito. And for that matter, maybe we’ll even get to see Jessie and Walt pop up for old times sake.
Either way, the new show starts production in November, and given all the withdrawals myself, and other fans of the previous series have had since it ended, this is without question the next best thing! Nuff said.
