Britney Spears comes to the aid of Fox’s “The X Factor” as it enters its second season. E! Online reports the pop star will be receiving 15 million dollars for her judging work this second season. The rumors that started earlier this year around March have been confirmed by E! Online’s source, and she will be appearing next to Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid.

“The contract is signed,” reveals the E! Online’s source. “There’s been a lot of back and forth over the past few weeks as they negotiated the small details, but she’s on. It’s all completed and Britney is beyond excited.”

At the end of season one the show lost experienced judges, Paula Abdul, who came to the show from American Idol, and  Nicole Scherzinger. Many names have been floating around the entertainment world as to who would fill the open seats on Fox’s musical competition show. Others also being approached include; Leanne Rimes, Miley Cyrus, and Demi Lovato.

“Fox has yet to confirm any news about Spears, Cyrus, Lovato or Rimes, nor has the network named a new host — or hosts — that will be taking the stage in Season 2,” reports the Huffington Post. Host possible include, former wrestler Stacy Kiebler.

Stay tuned for Fox’s announcement of its show’s Fall schedule.
