You didn’t think Chelsea Handler was going to just leave did you? The talk show host/stand-up comic has landing her next gift on Netflix. The streaming service has announced a deal with the comedian that includes a talk show to launch in early 2016, as well as a stand up special and four docu-comedy specials.
Chelsea Handler’s E! talk show will end August 26th but she will continue her unfiltered opinions on topics as well as guest interviews on Netflix. It has not been determined yet if it will be a daily show, a weekly show or what.
Chelsea has expressed many times that she is not happy with E! noting that it’s a sad place to live. There was a lot of speculation she was going to take over for David Letterman. This will be the first talk show for Netflix.
Before she starts her new gig at Netflix, she will take a one-hour stand up special during her June 20th stop of her tour “Uganda Be Kidding Me” in Chicago. It will premiere on Netflix on October 10.
Since this is the first of its kind for Netflix it will be interesting to see how Chelsea and the talk show does.
