After various conflicting reports in the last few days that Daniel Craig was on track to come back to the role of 007, he finally put those concerns to bed on ‘The Late Show’ while talking to Stephen Colbert:
The more interesting lead up to this was an unconfirmed report that the true reason Bond producers were able to get him back was him knowing they’d have gone with Tom Hardy in the role for the next three films. That apparently motivated Craig to sign on for not one but two more Bond flicks. The other interesting tidbit is that had it been Mr. Hardy, then director Christopher Nolan would have been helming the new trilogy. Hmm… Hmm… That could have been fascinating (if true), but that’s not happening now thanks to Craig’s return.
So with that in mind, what do you think about Mr. Craig returning as James Bond?? Is there more story to tell or has this franchise run its course? The last film, ‘Spectre’, was a mixed bag for many (myself included), so here’s hoping they come up with a somewhat original and fun story line for the next one. I wanna see Bond back in space, dammit! Nuff said:)
