‘Ghost In The Shell’, ‘Zookeeper’s Wife’, ‘Boss Baby’, Open March 31

The Girl in the Shell. IMAX. IMDB pro-rating 6.8 with a 72% satisfaction on Rotten Tomatoes. Based on the original classic MANGA series by Masamune Shirow, that was made into and animated feature in 1995. This remake casts Scarlet Johansson as the Asian super-soldier, a girl whose body and soul were hacked to create the ultimate fighting weapon for a new age of terrorism. Rupert Sands directs the script written by Jamie Moss, William Wheeler and Ehren Kruger. Stars Takeshi Kitano, Michael Pitt, Juliette Binoche and Pilou Asbaek.

The Zookeeper’s Wife. DRAMA. IMDB pro-rating 7.1 with 59% satisfaction on Rotten Tomatoes. Directed by Niki Caro with screenplay by Angela Workman, from the original novel, based on the true-story of Antonina and Dr. Jan Zabinski, by Diane Ackerman. During WW11, as Poland is taken over by the Nazi’s, a zookeeper’s wife, played by Jessica Chastain, gives refuge to Jews in a Warsaw Zoo, saving hundreds of lives. Daniel Bruhl, Johan Heldenbergh and Michael McElhatton star.

Boss Baby. Animated DreamWorks Production in 3-D. IMDB pro-rating 5.6 with a 29% satisfaction on Rotten Tomatoes. Alec Baldwin stars as the oh so adult and bossy baby, actually a secret spy, who causes  nothing but trouble and sibling rivalry for his older brother. Narrated by Tobey Maguire.
