Say it ain’t so, but the blue boy himself will be making an appearance on the ‘Supergirl’ TV series next season. Details have yet to be completely ironed out, but this statement was released from the show’s producers: “Greg [Berlanti], Ali [Adler] and I are beyond thrilled to welcome Clark Kent and his slightly-more-famous alter ego to the world of Supergirl,” says executive producer Andrew Kreisberg. “Superman will be appearing in the first two episodes of the new season we cannot wait to see who next dons the red cape!”
With this in mind, who should get the chance to don the red cape? Should the producers bring Tom Welling back (Smallville), or potentially go with an unknown actor? Better yet, is there any chance in hell they could lure Henry Cavill to make this appearance? It would be nice if the DC films wanted to do more tie-ins with their TV show universe. Neither here nor there, but I’m in the camp that feels the TV version of ‘The Flash’, would have made for perfect transitional casting in ‘Batman V Superman’, and the forthcoming ‘Justice League Part 1’ film.
Regardless, we shall see how this plays out in the coming months, and update as soon as we hear more! Nuff said.
