Make your Halloween a thriller and take in Jake Gyllenhaal’s latest, Nightcrawler
Jake Gyllenhaal is steadily climbing up the ladder of Hollywood’s leading men. His current film is a nail biting thriller called Nightcrawler, for which he lost 30 lbs., and his performance is putting him in the wild card spot for this years Oscars with a Best Actor nod.
Jake plays a paparazzi in Hollywood who is hungry for work and soon finds the underbelly of shooting crime for newspapers is not only lucrative, it’s fiercely competitive and dangerous. Rene Russo stars as a newspaper editor steering his paycheck, his sanity and ultimately his life.
Gyllenhaal said he loved making the film and that the dialogue is some of the best he’s ever spoken in his career. Bill Paxton also stars.
