Not that it would have taken a psychic to figure out the following news, but the Wall Street Journal just announced (care of Warner Bros) that Zack Snyder will be helming DC’s Justice League film.
For those who don’t know, Zack Snyder not only directed 2013’s Man of Steel, returning Superman to the big screen in a big way, and is also currently getting ready to shoot the untitled Batman Vs. Superman film due out in 2016.
Here’s to hoping Snyder doesn’t face super burn out by the time he’s finished with Justice League. Bad joke aside, there are some who feel what’s made Marvel’s universe stand apart from DC’s is the variety of creative talent involved with directing the feature films of their heroes. Time will tell if this becomes an issue for the DC series of films, but there is certainly something to be said about mixing up who is in the director’s chair for each film.
