Katie Holmes’ Fashion Line Means Business

Special Correspondent: James Jewett

Katie Holmes will be entering her first ever New York Fashion Week show and to top it off she will be presenting in the area that is widely recognized as the place to be if you are a top dog in the fashion world. This spot is called the tents and such designers as Diane von Furstenberg, Monique Lhuillier and Badgley Mischka will be dazzling fashionistas and celebrities with their newest cloth concoctions.

Holmes has teamed up with Jeanne Yang who’s keen style eye has brought her company of the same name to be known as a luxury label that sells mainly at Barney’s in New York. Barney’s has been showcasing and selling many pieces from Holmes and Yang. Below is a cropped motto jacket by the design team that sells at Barney’s for $3,095.

Holmes and Yang will be in the Tony Lincoln Center during Fashion Week and a coming out this bold means this is, “a big deal for Katie to show in the tents, under the full attention of the fashion editors and the glare of media scrutiny, they could have done a small show elsewhere, so this proves she and Jeanne are very serious about their business,” a source tells the New York Post.
