All is not well in Tinsel Town as actress Katie Holmes has recently filed for divorce from actor Tom Cruise. Apparently, Tom was was “blindsided” by Katie’s legal move filing in in New York on June 28, citing “irreconcilable differences.” She is of course asking for sole legal custody and primary residential custody of their 6-year-old daughter, Suri, but she doesn’t stop there. Katie is also asking for a division of property in her divorce docs, despite their being a prenup based on California law.
This is only the first move in what is probably going to be a very bitter and drawn out divorce. For the sake of Suri, I hope they can work it out amicable with the least amount of mess possible.
