The Promise. War Movie. DVD, Blue-Ray, IMDB pro-rating 5.9 with a 50% score on  Rotten Tomatoes.  Critics and audiences alike, seem to feel that camouflaging the Armenian Genocide under the guise of a love-triangle was not all that engaging. Set in 1914 at the very end of the Ottoman Empire, a medical student (Oscar Isaac), American-International photo-journalist based in Paris (Christian Bale), and beautiful woman (Charlotte LeBon) fight the regime and each other.

Resident Evil: Vendetta. Animation. DVD. Blue-Ray. IMDB pro-rating 6.3. Soldiers battle zombies while trying to hold off a madman aimed at filling the world with a deadly virus. Matthew Mercer, Erin Cahill, Kevin Dorman.

Buster’s Mal Heart. Sci-Fi-ish. DVD. Blue-Ray. IMDB pro-rating 5.9 with a 76% score from Rotten Tomatoes. The talented Rami Malik (Mr. Robot) stars in this off-beat metaphorical story written and directed by Sara Adina Smith, about 3 ‘stages’ of a man’s life, that may or may not be real, but could be a psychotic breakdown. First a man who lives with his family, who wishes to be alone, then the same man lives alone in the wilderness and then he exists lost at sea.
