KONY Founder Jason Russell Detained For Inappropriate Behavior

San Diego authorities recently detained the creator of the Invisible Children KONY 2012 viral video(see the video down below), Jason Russell for bring drunk and acting lewd in public.

Thursday morning, Russell was found conducting sexual behavior and vandalizing cars while wearing only his underwear, police Lt. Andra Brown told NBC7.

Russell’s video went viral after captivating many viewers, including celebrities who supported the founder in his message. The video targeted Joseph Kony, the leader of a Ugandan rebel army who has been accused of abducting more than 30, 000 children and forcing them into slavery or sex.

Ben Keesey, CEO of Invisible Children said that Russell has been hospitalized due to suffering exhaustion, dehydration and malnutrition but is focused on his recovery.

Keesey went on by saying :

“Jason’s passion and his work have done so much to help so many and we are devastated to see him dealing with this personal health issue. We will always love and support Jason, and we ask that you give his entire family privacy during this difficult time.”

Although their have been many negative comments regarding the KONY founder and his recent behavior the message in the KONY 2012 video still has a strong point and something has to be done.
