This English romance/fairy tale is a charming story about a woman who desires to become a children’s author, and finds her inspiration from the curmudgeon who lives next door. (Several friends rated it much higher, so go figure). An aging man, feeling lonely, looks up his ex-wife who left him 20 or so years earlier. She tells him they had a child, a daughter, who she gave up for adoption and Wilson, not so great with the social graces, goes in search of her. Woody Harrelson, Laura Linney and Isabella Amara, star.
