His wife is impatient for a child, and when one washes ashore in a rowboat, they keep her as their own, instead of bringing her to authorities. Then one day they are on the mainland and run into the baby’s biological mother (Rachel Weisz), who is heartbroken over the loss of her child. The couple, who have grown attached to the little girl, must decide whether to return her to her rightful family, or keep her for their own.

They fall into mourning for many years, but on day a young man accidentally drowns, and comes back to life 3 hours later. The village people see this as a sign of good fortune and are restored to live and love again. Martin Sheen stars. Written and directed by Julio Quintana.
