Popularly called ‘unintentionally hysterical’, Lindsay Lohan’s ‘Liz and Dick’ leads the new DVD releases for Tuesday, May 14. It hasn’t helped Lindsay’s ‘comeback’, but DVD sales could prove successful for the wrong reasons.
Dexter-the Seventh Season, starring Michael C. Hall as a police blood splatter expert with murder victims of his own with an imdb pro rating of 9 is the second most highly anticipated DVD release. Available in Blu-ray, it was Showtime’s first hit series. Season 8 will be the last.
With a 7.7 imbd pro rating, Tom Hanks and Halle Berry star in Cloud Atlas, playing various characters over the course of several historical time periods. The narrative threads weave in and out of each other, attempting to paint a portrait of mankind’s quest for peace throughout the ages. Hugh Grant also stars.
Frankie Go Boom, starring Charles Hunnam, Chris O’Dowd and Nora Dunn, with an imdb of 5.5, is an independent comedy about two brothers forced to work together to stop the spread of an incriminating videotape. Available on Blue-ray.

Glimpse Inside Mind of Charles Swan 111. A comedy, written and directed by Roman Coppola, stars Charlie Sheen, Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzman. A graphic designer’s life slides into despair after his girlfriend breaks up with him. Imdb pro rating 4.9, Blue-ray.
