MANNY PACQUIAO DOCUMENTARY OPENS TO #1 DOCUMENTARY SPOT ON ITUNES

Manny Documentary

MANNY, the new documentary about pugilist renaissance man Manny P, debuted as number one documentary film on iTunes.

“I’m speechless and blown away. When I first started this project 5 years ago as my first film, I never would’ve thought in my wildest dreams that my small indie film would get this much support and attention,” said Co-Director Ryan Moore. “I am deeply grateful for everyone who has supported “Manny” and I hope you enjoy watching it as I did making it.”

MANNY, which had its world premiere at the 2014 SXSW Film Festival, is narrated by Academy Award nominee Liam Neeson (Schindler’s List, Taken, A Walk Among the Tombstones) and features interviews with Manny Pacquiao, Jinkee Pacquiao, Freddie Roach, Academy Award® nominee Mark Wahlberg (The Departed, Ted, Lone Survivor), Jeremy Piven (“Entourage”), Alex Ariza, Jimmy Kimmel, Larry Merchant and Bert Sugar.

From abject poverty to becoming a ten time boxing world champion and history’s first boxing congressman, international icon Manny Pacquiao is the definition of a Cinderella story. In the Philippines, he first entered the ring as a sixteen year old weighing 98 pounds with the goal of earning money to feed his family. Now, almost twenty years later, when he fights, the country of 100 million people comes to a complete standstill to watch. Today at the height of his career, he is faced with maneuvering an unscrupulous sport and political duties, while still maintaining a personal life. The question now is what bridge is too far for Manny Pacquiao to cross?

MANNY Opens in Theaters and Video-On-Demand TODAY, January 23rd.
