This sucks– really, it does. George A. Romero has left us after a battle with lung cancer and his legacy will forever be untarnished in the genre of all things “zombie” oriented… Add to it, ‘Creepshow’ will forever be a goddamn classic that stands the test of time due to his directorial efforts coupled with Stephen Kings script.

As it turns out, he died listening to one of his favorite musical scores, “The Quiet Man,” with his wife and daughter at his side according to an official statement.

Nonetheless, I salute you sir— you had the balls to call out ‘The Walking Dead’ for being mellow dramatic $hit, and for that, you’re truly the man. Nuff said.
