Pixar’s animated ‘Inside Out’, may not topple ‘Jurassic World’, but the 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes assures it’s box office clout.
Pixar’s Inside Out boasts a first-class ensemble cast. When ll year old Riley (the voice of Kaitlyn Dias) is uprooted from her joyful, happy life to move to San Francisco, emotions she’s never had to deal with kick in – like anger, fear, sadness and disgust. Amy Poehler is her voice of Joy, Phyllis Smith is sadness, and so these contemptuous feelings don’t get too out of hand, comedians Lewis Black plays Anger, Saturday Night Live’s super funny Bill Hader is Fear and Mindy Kaling is the voice of disgust. Diane Lane voices her Mom and Kyle McLaughlin is her Dad.
Dope stars Shameik Moore as a teenager who bonds with some other boys over 90’s hip-hop to form a punk band. But while at a party, some drugs get secretly stashed in his backpack and causes them to go on the run, when the real dope dealers come after them to get their stash back. Zoe Kravitz, Forest Whitaker, Tony Revolon and Kiersey Clemons, also star.
