Sandra Oh is returning to ABC but not Grey’s Anatomy. The actress has booked a multi-episode guest starring role on the third season of American Crime. This is her first TV acting job since leaving Grey’s Anatomy at the end of season 10.
The next season will be set in Alamance County, North Carolina, the anthology drama’s new season will dive into labor issues, the economy, and individual rights. The Golden Globe winner will play a social worker named Abby Tanaka who runs a local shelter for victims of domestic abuse despite indifference from the surrounding community.
Felicity Huffman, Timothy Hutton, Lili Taylor, Regina King, and season 2’s Connor Jessup are all returning for season 3 of the Emmy-winning series.
American Crime will return to ABC in 2017.
