Last Sundays premiere of producer Mark Burnett, and wife Roma Downey’s collaboration on the mini-series THE BIBLE – on A&E, gave the HISTORY channel it’s best day ever, with over 27 million viewers tuning in to some part of the two hour opening episodes.
This Sunday, March 10, at 8p.m. the series continues with Homeland and Kingdom.
Joshua (ANDREW SCARBOROUGH), witnesses the covenant – the promise of a holy nation – and helps fulfill God’s promise by continuing what Moses started – leading his people into the promised land.
Saul (FRANCIS MAGEE), is anointed the first King of Israel, while Samson (NONSO ANOZIE) drives away the Phillistines, only to be betrayed by Delilah (KIERSTON WAREING), who opts for money over love.
David (LANGLEY KIRKWOOD), unites his people in the house of Israel chooses devoted mother, Bathsheba (MELIA KREILLING), as the dutiful object of his love.
The provacotive and haunting soundtrack, brings together once again, the award winning team of HANS ZIMMER and LISA GERRARD of GLADIATOR.
