Who can resist Robert DeNiro as Bernie Madoff in ‘The Wizard of Lies’ ?
Who cares that the International Movie Data Base (IMDB) only gave the HBO special a 6.3 rating! It stars Robert DeNiro as Bernie Madoff, the guy that (until now) pulled off the largest financial fraud, Ponzi Scheme in history! Besides DeNiro playing the lead, Michelle Pfeiffer plays his innocent, “I didn’t know anything, but I sure liked the money”, wife. The great cast also includes Alessandro Nivola as a Madoff heir who couldn’t take the heat in the penthouse, Kristen Connolly, and the great Hank Anzaria.
