TV Personality Dick Clark Dies At Age 82

Pop culture host and producer, Dick Clark died Wednesday at Saint John’s hospital in Santa Monica after having a heart attack.He was 82. Clark was known for hosting American Bandstand, and other TV segments in prime-time programing. In 1957, American Bandstand went national, and Clark was given the opportunity to introduce the American public to rock and roll. Clark had a major role in the introduction of new music and broke racist barriers by playing popular black music.

In the past decades, Clark built an image in the entertainment industry with Dick Clark Productions, which became a successful business over the years with teen dance shows, television movies and even feature films on his list of projects. His love of music and production made him a well-known success in the entertainment industry.

Prayers and thoughts go out to his family; he will always be remembered for his talent and wonderful achievements. You will be missed Dick Clark, rest in peace.
