Warner Brothers Buys Untitled Mob Comedy Pitch

Warner Brothers has just bought an untitled mob comedy that will star actors Steve Carell and Jake Johnson. The pitch will be written by Rodney Rothman alongside Carell reported Deadline.

The mob comedy will be directed by Max Winkler who made his debut with Magnolia Pictures’ Ceremony. Carell who just finished wrapping up The Incredible Burt Wonderstone for New Line will also produce the film via is Carousel Productions. Johnson on the other hand, just signed for the second season of Fox’s New Girl. While Rothman has a comedy/horror film, The Something, set at Universal Pictures with Seth Rogen. Along Carell, Rothman will also produce via his Viking Funeral. It seems that although this talented group have a lot going on, they are not stopping from creating new projects to add to their busy schedules.

The mob-comedic pitch is based on an idea by Johnson and Winkler.
