Burberry has partnered with Elton John to release a limited edition vinyl LP box set of six of his classic albums. The unique set of records selected by Elton, comprises six carefully remastered albums originally released between 1970 and 2001 and one album previously unreleased on vinyl. Available exclusively to Burberry in a limited edition run of 800, the collection of vinyl LPs is presented in a specially designed Burberry box, each individually numbered, flecked with gold glitter and embossed with Elton’s signature in gold lettering. The 180 gsm, 12-inch vinyl LPs include all the original artwork and sleeve notes. The albums were remastered from the original tapes by legendary engineer Bob Ludwig, and the vinyl cut at the renowned Abbey Road Studios in London. This partnership marks a long-standing relationship between Burberry and Elton, with Elton most recently appearing in the brand’s Billy Elliot inspired Festive campaign last year. Burberry and Elton John are also united by their shared passion for supporting emerging British recording artists, by giving them a platform to showcase their work. Elton John champions new music via his Rocket Music management company as well as his regular Beats 1 show, The Rocket Hour. Burberry has helped to foster and discover new talent through its campaigns and Burberry Acoustic platform. The box set will be available to purchase from November 2016 exclusively at Burberry stores across Asia, Europe, Canada and the US and at Burberry.com. Elton John said: “I’m really thrilled to see these albums reintroduced in such stylish form. Choosing these 6 wasn’t easy; however I think they are a very good representation of my catalogue between 1970 and 2001. It’s been a pleasure as always to work with Burberry and in particular Christopher Bailey – a dear friend. Producing these albums was a real labor of love for everyone involved.” THE FEATURED ALBUMS Elton John: The earliest album in the box set, originally released in 1970, this was the first album to launch Elton John into the spotlight, with a tracklist...
