We’re Here is a Show Everyone Should be Watching

From HBO Max

What it’s about: A six-part unscripted series set to debut this spring, We’re Here, will show small-town residents as they’re recruited and trained to participate in a one-night only drag performance.

Who you’ll recognize: In each episode, former RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants Bob the Drag Queen, Eureka O’Hara and Shangela Laquifa Wadley will help prepare their “drag daughters” by teaching them how to step outside of their comfort zones.

Who’s behind the scenes: We’re Here is created and executive produced by Stephen Warren and Johnnie Ingram. Peter LoGreco will serve as director and executive producer, along with Eli Holzman & Aaron Saidman for Industrial Media’s The Intellectual Property Corporation.

Caldwell Tidicue (Bob the Drag Queen), David Huggard (Eureka O’Hara) and D.J. Pierce (Shangela) will serve as consulting producers.

Now that you know what the show is about let me tell you why you’re missing out if you don’t watch this amazing show.

It is a mix between To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar and Queer Eye. Three drag queens roll into small towns and transform locals into Drag Queens and Kings. It’s not only about transforming their look but the community, families and more.

It’s a feel good show that will leave you with a smile on your face every episode and maybe some tears. You see parents really seeing their kid for who they are, people recovering from accidents and living their live’s again or losing a loved one and getting in drag in their memory.

It’s worth every minute to watch this show. We need more love and acceptance in this world and this show helps to do that.
