Former American Idol contestant Asia’h Epperson suffered multiple injuries, which included several broken bones, due to a car accident on Tuesday evening. In 2008, Epperson made it to the top 24 on Idol’s Season 7. Epperson, 23 is currently hospitalized in L.A. as reported by PEOPLE .
“We are hoping for a speedy recovery and would like to thank all of her fans for their prayers and support,” Epperson’s rep says in a statement.
“Her family has asked that for everyone to please be considerate of her privacy during this time so that she may focus on her recovery.”
