Chris Rock writes, directs and stars in the all-star comedy ensemble Top Five, releasing December 5 to limited theaters. Nationwide December 12.
An all-star cast lead by Chris Rock and Rosario Dawson gives the comedy Top Five a whopping 87% satisfaction from Rotten Tomatoes. Comedic heavy weights include: Kevin Hart, Adam Sandler, Tracy Morgan, JB Smoove, Whoopi Goldberg, and Jerry Seinfeld.
Chris Rock plays a former stand-up comedian (Andre Allen) who is trying to get serious. After becoming a successful film star in a comedic trilogy with a comedic bear he puts his heart into a passion project about the Haitian Revolution that is panned by the New York Times, when Rosario Dawson, a Times reporter, comes to interview him they hit it off and travel around NY as Andre gets his funny back.
