Huckleberry Ltd and artist Matt McCormick have launched a new series of repurposed Rolex datejust watches. The vintage timepieces act as an iconic canvas for the collaborative art and design between Huckleberry’s Jason Hoehn and McCormick culled from the American West – where both designers were born and raised. What started as basic vintage watches, Hoehn and McCormick have redesigned the pieces into wearable art. Each watch dial is carefully deconstructed removing all markers and symbols. The vintage dial is then left in its original state allowing for each piece’s unique patina and aging to interact with the art application. With additional added details such as embellished precious stone bezels, satin brush finishing and Huckleberry’s signature orange dyed date wheel, the timepieces sit in a custom reclaimed wood box with orange suede lining. All three pieces are being sold exclusively at Dallas’ premiere boutique destination, Forty Five Ten and range in price from $16,000-$24,000.
