Jennifer Lopez and Lin Manuel Miranda released their new song “Love Makes the World Go Round” giving back to those affected at the Pulse Nightclub massacred in Orlando. Lin wrote the song, which is only available on iTunes.

Lopez, Miranda and Epic Records will donate 100 percent of their proceeds (at least 91 cents) from each U.S. download sale from July 8 to Oct. 5. Proyecto Somos Orlando “will provide bilingual culturally-competent social services to impacted families and the broader community. Needed services include case management, crisis intervention, grief counseling, mental health services, legal assistance and educational programs. It will be housed in the same facility as Hispanic Family Counseling (HFC), building on their culturally competent mental health and expanding services, all to be provided under one roof in the heart of the Hispanic community.”

During an iHeartRadio Twitter Q&A, Miranda revealed it was Lopez’s idea to join forces. “Jen approached me. After hearing the track she was working on, we realized we could do a lot of good together,” the Tony winner wrote, adding that it was an emotional experience. “We talked a lot about love counteracting hate, and fear, and how art can play a role in that effort.”

Friday, Lin wrote on Twitter, “Yeah, sorry for the impromptu today, 46th street!”

@Wafflecopter05 was out on the street an caught some of their impromptu performance.

The pair will perform their duet live on NBC’s Today plaza on Monday, July 11.
