‘Logan’,’The Last Word’, ‘Wolves’, ‘The Shack’, ‘Before I Fall’ Open March 3.

March is heating up with lots of great movie entertainment.

The International Movie Data Base (IMDB) is the industry standard for critical and customer satisfaction.

Logan. Sci-Fi/Adventure. With a 9.2 IMDB pro-rating, and 93% satisfaction on Rotten Tomatoes, Hugh Jackman is back, or I should say Wolverine is back. He just can’t be left alone, trying to retire and live a normal life, Old Man Logan is forced back to  work when a young mutant needs his help. Patrick Stewart, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, with James Mangold directing.

The Last Word. Dramedy. IMDB pro-rating 7.1. Shirley MacClaine (Warren Beatty’s older sister), makes no mistakes in her return to the screen, as the domineering, successful business woman, who hires a fledgling reporter (Amanda Seyfried) to write her life story. When things don’t go as she had hoped, she takes charge (of Course). Mark Pellington directs with Anne Heche and Thomas Sadoski also starring.

Wolves. Sports Drama 9with an edge). IMDB pro-rating 5.8. Hoping IMDB has made and error because Wolves stars two of my favorite actors, Michael Shannon and Carla Cugino. Mike plays a seriously addicted gambling addict, whose son is a high school basketball star. When the boy gets a scholarship to a big name college to play ball, his Dad complicates things by trying to hedge his bets and get the boy to help him win some big bucks. Sounds good to me. Taylor John Smith is the son.

The Last Word. Faith-based. IMDB pro-rating 7.1. Adapted from the novel and directed by Stuart Haeldine. When a  man loses his faith, a voice keeps calling him to a deserted Shack in the woods. Sam Worthington, Octavia Spencer, Tim McGraw, Graham Greene and Rhoda Mitchell, star.
