Watches have long been considered to be wearable art , which is something Philippe Charriol, founder of CHARRIOL – the luxury jewelry & timepieces brand bearing his name – firmly believed when first creating his signature twisted cable design pieces 30 years ago.
Now, that holds true more than ever as Philippe’s son, Alexandre Charriol, carries on the family tradition by perfecting the fusion or art and timepieces with the limited series Alexandre C Art Edition: Night Mask watch collection.
Inspired by Alexadre’s collection of paintings ‘Human Flow,’ the Night Masks watch, which is a reinterpretation of CHARRIOL’s signature Alexandre C model, transposes Alex’s own personal view of how we interact in society, the ‘masks’ we sometimes wear, and the liberating effect of the night. Free-form images of human faces are etched onto the dials, and are a direct replica of Alex’s global exhibition.
With only 500-pieces available, the collection features four color-ways of steel, charcoal, bronze and blue. The 40mm unisex watch also features a handcrafted dial and signature CHARRIOL twisted steel cable band.
