Mission Impossible 6 Facing Lengthy Delays…..

Earlier this week we posted a clip of Tom Cruise performing a stunt on the set of ‘Mission Impossible 6‘ in which he injured himself:

As it turns out, he did in fact suffer injuries from this stunt gone wrong. A tabloid newspaper in Britain claims the following: The injury is worse than was at first feared. Tom did serious damage and will need months to recover. He is the film’s biggest star and everything revolves around him. The movie’s bosses had no choice other than to postpone the filming. That being said, Paramount Pictures has yet to make an official statement that confirms these claims. It should also be noted the specific injuries incurred are apparently broken bones in both of his ankles.

Now, Mr. Cruise is certainly no stranger to performing larger than life stunts on his films. For the previous Mission Impossible film, Rogue Nation, he was literally hanging onto the side of an airplane in a stunt that could have gone horribly wrong. For those that forget this scene, here is an interesting featurettte that shows how he and the film’s crew pulled it off:

Bottom line? This guy has a set of brass balls and we wish him a speedy recovery, and all the best for the next entry of the Mission Impossible series for being a huge success amidst delays! Nuff said.
