Just hours before they took the stage for the opening night of the Total Package Tour, NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK released their Thankful EP this past Friday, five tracks of all-new music and the first from the group since 2013’s TEN. Danny, Donnie, Joey, Jonathan and Jordan celebrated Thankful’s release in typical NKOTB-style by kicking off yet another supertour, this time with the legendary Paula Abdul and Boyz II Men in tow. The guys also stopped by the TODAY Show this morning for their Summer Concert Series, shutting down Rockefeller Plaza with a marathon of hits and taking over every hour of the show to cohost alongside Al and Dylan. Thankful is available now via Kobalt Music Recordings across all major digital service providers.
NKOTB gave Blockheads a preview of what to expect on the new EP when they performed Thankful’s lead single “One More Night” at The Late Late Show with James Corden in March. The track was met with overwhelming support from critics, with Rolling Stonedescribing it as “alluring” and “seductive,” and FUSE proclaiming, “It’s got a sexy beat, boy-band harmonies and lyrics sure to make their fans scream for more.” The group has since released the music video for “One More Night,” described by Bustle as “pure boy band magic,” with PopSugar assuring fans will, “fall in love with NKOTB all over again.”
