San Francisco Giants Pay Tribute To Robin Williams Before Game 5 Of World Series

The San Francisco Giants remembered the amazing Robin Williams with an emotional tribute prior to tonight’s game 5 of the 2014 World Series.

Robin’s three children – Zak, Zelda and Cody – took to the mound before the game again the Kansas City Royals on October 26. Zak threw out the first pitch to Robin’s longtime friend Billy Crystal, who took home plate. Billy, also spoke to the crowd.

As a part of the tribute the team showed clips of Robin, a huge Giants fan, on the Jumbotron. Robin’s kids all wore jerseys with their last name on the back. You can see that Zelda was very emotional.

Williams' Statement

The statement adds that the comic legend’s three kids “could not think of a better way to celebrate his memory.”

The Giants also honored Robin during a regular season game against the Chicago White Sox on August 12, the day after his passing. Robin lived in San Francisco on and off through his career.
