April Fool’s Day opens mostly Fantasy/Sci-Fi. The sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman, The Huntsman: Winter’s War, has an all-star cast.
The Huntsman: Winter’s War. Emily Blunt joins the Fantasy ensemble cast as the betrayed sister of the Queen (Charlize Theron). Fortunately, she has the ability to turn people to ice. As she begins to build up her exiled empire, with hopes of regaining her throne, she forbids her subjects from falling in love. Chris Hemsworth returns, fighting on the Ice Princess side, but makes the mistake of falling in love with Jessica Chastain.
Pandemic. Fantasy/Sci-Fi adventure about a deadly epidemic that has killed almost all the residents of LA. Rachel Nichols and Alfie Allen(Game of Thrones) have the task of searching for survivors.
The Jungle Book. Based on the best selling children’s book, a fantasy adventure of self-discovery when a young boy(Neel Sethi), who has been raised by wolves, must leave home when he hear’s the tiger’s roar. He encounters magical animals along the way. Ben Kingsley, Scarlet Johansson, Idris Elba and Bill Murray star.
Hardcore Henry. Sci/Fi Fantasy about a man (Sharlto Copley), who has died but is brought back to life in a laboratory, where is lives again as part man, part robot. He discovers his new powers and his ex-wife.
