This is a 90’s girl’s dream come true!!! There is talk that the ladies have gone to BBC about creating a reality show to search for a couple of “Wannabes” to fill the spots of Victoria Beckham and Mel C who will not be joining the tour. Get out those platform sneakers!!
The International Business Times reports that the new Spice Girl search will reportedly take place over five consecutive nights in April, culminating in a live finale. The competition will include an audition phase and various heats, and the winners will perform live on stage with the girls. (Sounds like the perfect situation for Mel B. to apply her competition judging expertise, if we do say so ourselves.)
The winner will join the band for a gig in Hyde Park next July to mark the 21st anniversary of their first No 1 single, Wannabe.
A BBC spokesman said: ‘BBC Entertainment has lots of ideas in development but we never comment on details.’
I wish I was in the UK…I would so be there with my boa and sneakers!
