‘Age Of Adaline, ‘The Water Diviner’, ‘Before I Go’ Top New Movie Releases For April 24

Russell Crowe, The Water Diviner, and Courtney Cox, Just Before I Go, both make their directorial debuts, along with Blake Lively’s drama, The Age of Adaline, all premiering on April 24.

ADALINE

The Age of Adaline. Blake Lively, in a film with a concept similar to Benjamin Button, is Adaline.  A woman frozen in time at 29 years old. She has lived more than 8 decades without aging. Her secret is safe, until she meets a handsome aristocrat and philanthropist named Ellis Jones, played by Michiel Huisman. Adaline falls in love and risks revealing her secret to the whole world. This film is getting good critical and audience buzz. Kathy Baker, Harrison Ford and Ellen Burstyn also star.

WATER DIVINE

The Water Diviner. Tomorrow is the 100 year anniversary of the War in Gallipoli, so it is appropriate that Russell Crowe’s directorial debut, and film with the war as a backdrop, should debut today. It is the true story of an Australian father, played by Crowe, who sends three of his sons to fight at Gallipoli, Turkey, and they never return, dead or alive. The emotional film centers on Crowe going to Turkey to find out what happened to his boys. Olga Kurylenko also stars.

BEFORE I GO

Just Before I Go. Courtney Cox steps into the directing ring with this dramedy about a man, Seann William Scott, who, after losing his wife, decides he has nothing to live for and wants to commit suicide. But before he goes,he wants to return to his hometown and tell off some of the people that made his life miserable, bullies, teachers and family included. Olivia Thirlby and Kate Walsh also star.
