We were at the Arrested Development CD release party this last week. It took ten years for it to finally come together said composer David Schwartz.
There are 42 songs on the CD. It must have been very hard to choose from because each episode was filled with music. I think Arrested Development fans will be happy with songs on the CD such as: “Get Away” (extended version), “Balls in the Air” (extended version), “You’ll Never Hear from me Again”, “Motherboy”, “Mr. F” and my favorite “Boomerang”.
There was a short listening party where composer David Schwartz and the band played four songs from the CD. It was great, wish it was longer.
They also passed out chocolate covered frozen bananas. If you watch the show I think you will get the reference.
After the listening party I was able to talk to composer David Schwartz about the CD finally coming out, how he gathered all the music and the fan reaction. I also spoke to his daughter Lucy Schwartz who started her career on Arrested Development singing at 14.
Creator Mitch Hurwitz joined the party watching the show like a proud papa. He was so excited about the music release and is so grateful so all of the fans and says there is probably something else in the works for Arrested Development!
