Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS unites theatre artists with theatre lovers to help those in need. Broadway Cares’ donors and supporters help men, women, and children across the country and across the street receive lifesaving medications, health care, nutritious meals, counseling, and emergency financial assistance.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is the largest single supporter of the social service programs of The Actors Fund, helping everyone in entertainment and the performing arts. Broadway Cares also awards annual grants to more than 450 AIDS and family service organizations in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and Washington, DC.

A BroaderWay Foundation (ABW) was created in 2010 by Idina Menzel and a passionate group of artists, activists, and social workers with a basic goal – to amplify the power of young women through the arts.

ABW is dedicated to using the beauty, experience, discipline, joy, energy, and spirit of the arts to develop future leaders. Our participants sharpen their tools to understand and appreciate themselves as individuals and as members of a community. These young women will use their leadership skills to address social imbalances due to race, class, and gender that exist throughout the world today.
