For fans of Breaking Bad, how bout a little something to soften the blow of the series coming to a close at the end of this month: Sony and AMC have announced that on Nov. 26th the complete series will be released on Blu-ray, uniquely packaged in a barrel.
Included in the set are 16 discs, 62 episodes, and 55 hours of bonus content. Additionally, fans get a Los Pollos Hermanos apron, a commemorative challenge coin designed by Vince Gilligan, and the barrel itself is a collectible money barrel emulating the ones used in the show’s final season.
As far as Blu-ray sets go, I myself haven’t seen such a fun and rewarding set put together for fans of such a highly touted series, let alone this soon after the series ends. I’d have expected this to not come out until next year, so good on Sony/AMC and showrunner Vince Gilligan for getting this out before the holiday season!
