BRINA TORCH, Recording Artist, Unveils Debut Album ‘MONET’. Oct. 30, 2020

A Selection of Original Pop Songs Written by Brina Torch and Produced by Joey Martino of ET Studio Productions and Co-Written with Laura Monaco Follows Up to the Single Release “Barbie”  The highly anticipated debut album “Monet,” by teen recording artist Brina Torch will make its global debut on Friday, October 30, 2020, through symphonic distribution on Symphonicdistribution.com via all music platforms including Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music and Spotify.

It was a treat to be able to speak with Brina about her upcoming “MONET” release.

I spoke with Brina about music and art. Feeling a bit ‘verklempt’ from the pandemic, election, everything, Brina helped me remember that as long as young people (Brina is 16) are writing and singing their stories and songs with the passion that creates worlds, and that keeps the planets spinning, there is nothing to worry about. It’s really all about the MUSIC! Thanks, BRINA!

Tell me a little about your premier album “Monet”.

Brina Torch: I named it “Monet” in honor of the painter and his work. I felt I was creating something not only beautiful but filled with the romance of discovering who you are. “Monet” is the transition from my childhood to teenage years and they all tell little stories about experiences of growing up, that make up the overall story of adolescence,” Brina says.  “My inspiration for the songs in “Monet,” is mostly from personal experiences that I have, as well as viewing things going on in society,” said Brina.

Do you enjoy performing and singing to a live audience?

Brina Torch: I love it! I’m not shy and I feel totally at home on stage singing to a live audience. It’s electrifying!  I feel my songs come to life on stage where I can really put my emotions into an outlet.

When did you start writing your own music?

Brina Torch: Probably when I was about 5! I was really inspired by “Lady Gaga” when I was younger, and she continues to inspire me. I write all the time. It’s kept me really busy during COVID.  I don’t perform on the piano yet, but I’m working on it!

How did you enjoy making your first music video for the song “Barbie”?

Brina Torch: It was fantastic!. I worked with Director Anthony Corvyx from VYXEN VISIONS PRODUCTIONS. Anthony was so enthusiastic and really wanted to capture the essence of what I was trying to express. He was eager to respect my vision and bring my words to life. It was a richly creative experience and adds a new dimension to my music.

Who are the contemporary artists that inspire you?

Brina Torch:  As I mentioned, Lady Gaga is a big inspiration for me from the time I was a little girl. I also admire Taylor Swift and Harry Stiles.

I think Laura Monaco expresses it best: Adding to Brina’s distinctive vocals is the collaboration between critically acclaimed vocal producer, Laura Monaco. Describing her collaboration with Brina, Monaco commented “Working with Brina on her first EP has been such a joy – she has depth in her soul and fire in her heart. This is only the beginning, and it’s super exciting for her!” YES!

Thanks Brina!
