The trailer for the CHiPs movie is here, and it looks pretty funny. The movie is a take off the NBC TV show that was popular in the 70s and 80s.
Dax Shepard, who also wrote and directed the film and Michael Peña star as California Highway Patrol officers who are partnered together. Peña’s character is actually a federal agent conducting an investigation to find crooked cops within the department. You will also see Shepard’s wife, Kristen Bell in the film. The trailer debuted on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
I didn’t watch the original show so I won’t be coming in with any real expectations other than I hope it’s as funny as the trailer.
CHiPs is set to open in theaters on March 24th, 2017.
