Christina Aguilera Helps Launch World Hunger Relief

Volunteer global spokesperson and multi-Grammy award winner Christina Aguilera announced the launch of the annual Yum! Brands World Hunger Relief effort benefiting the U.N. World Food Programme (WFP).

Recently back from a humanitarian trip in Ecuador, Christina witnessed the effects of hunger first hand. During her trip she:

Helped beneficiaries of WFP’s nutrition programs by meeting with local farmers and refugee families and serving food to hungry children.

She’ll also appear in posters at KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell restaurants, plus online efforts including the campaign’s website, HungertoHope.com.

With over 795 million people around the world suffering from chronic hunger, the program along with Christina have raised more than $600 million for WFP and other hunger relief organizations providing 2.4 billion nutritious meals for those in need since its launch in 2007.
